― Why did you decide to join Fujisaki?

In my graduation thesis of the university, I focused on the history of the shopping district in Sendai. At that time, I was interested in Ichibancho Shopping Street, especially Fujisaki. More than 200 years have passed since it was founded as a local department store, and I joined Fujisaki, which has developed with the shopping district in the past and now, and I wanted to contribute to the prosperity of the local shopping district in Sendai. In addition, I wanted to be involved in a profession that interacts with people, there were various departments, and there was an environment where I could always try new things, so I decided to go to Fujisaki.

― Please tell us about your current job and rewarding.

Currently, as the manager of a local store, Vee Fujisaki Nagamachi store on the first floor of Lara Garden in Nagamachi, we are engaged in customer service, employee management, sales floor product planning, development plan, event space planning, etc.

Although it is a small store, I feel responsible for leaving one store. However, there is a lot of rewarding, and we are working to train each and every employee and create a shop that can satisfy our customers. We organize events every week, but when we negotiate a store by ourselves and lead to success, we have a great sense of accomplishment.

― What do you want to do in the future?

The environment surrounding department stores is changing rapidly, and looking back on when I joined the company, I feel that the situation has changed considerably compared to that time. In recent years, companies are also required to address SDGs, but I would like to aim for a new way of Fujisaki while always responding to changes in society.

In addition, since it is a department store that has developed with the community, I hope that new initiatives can be made in various ways, not only to contribute to the community, but also to local industries, schools, and governments.

― How to spend OFF?

On holidays, I often play with a 5-year-old child in a park. Now I'm working hard to practice jumping ropes. Now I’m going to start practicing bikes.
